Users review: I am shocked to see this hilarious film is now 26 years old! Movies of 1964 seen in 1988 saw tens of years apart ..... How can a film in 1980, as this is still so new and play so fresh in 2010? Besides being funny and really inspired I now appreciate more legacy of John Hughes in his series of films that were released in th; Bilateral 5-year from 1984 to 1989. Anthony Michael Hall is rightly celebrated and charming Molly Ringwald earned their fame in teen hall of fame. What happened to Michael Schoeffling (Jake) .... Who knows? It seems absurd that so many future stars got their start in this film, but he seemed to go nowhere. I am also very surprised that it got the PG rating ....... given, swearing and nudity .. but I think in the spirit of the whole, it was a perfect pic for someone 12-112. Very smart and very funny. |
