Users review: Wind woes (Miyazaki, 2013): Japan Reviewed by Larry Gleeson. Given the AFI International Film Festival 2013.The wind rose, is a new animated, full-length feature film by Japanese animation director Hayao Miyazaki's legendary. Miyazaki announced at the Venice Film Festival this year will be his last film. In 1997, Princess Mononoke was the highest-grossing film in the history of Japan's income at the time of release and also have received the Japanese equivalent of the Academy Award for Best Picture. Miyazaki is also famous for the film Spirited Away (2001) and shout Moving Castle (2004) In 2003, Miyazaki received the Oscar for best animated film for the film Spirited Away, his films have received critical acclaim internationally and provided public recognition Miyazaki in Japan. His films are known for interesting characters, engaging plot and eye-catching animations. Incredible by today's standards his films do not allow more than 10% of the sequences were derived from computer animation. In The Wind that Shakes, Miyazaki tells the story of Jiro Horikoshi, an engineer, flight engineer designing a real-life fighter in Japan during the war World II. The film opens with a young Jiro fantasy plane flew over the city of his birth. When I saw the scene unfold, pleasant feeling that the area is strong enough that I remember the opening scene Leni Riefenstahls Nazi propaganda documentary, Triumph of the Will. However, the first moments of the film is very entertaining that Miyazaki chose to highlight young Jiros like a big brother to s? Fun spirited younger sister in my own swim parenting is run by friendly and attentive mother.Jiros their passion in the film makes a good plane. Jiros reverie, which he did several times during the storys arc. Although some of my favorite moments is imagination Jiros the Count Caproni, a mustachioed Italian aircraft designer larger than life frame rib Jiro mood and good fun, and gives an overview Jiros creative passion. Jiro find inspiration through this time and Miyazaki make room for them throughout the film. The story is partly based on the 1938 novel Horis Tatsuo wind rose. Entertainment Miyazakis offers beautiful scenery and landscape is filled with striking visuals while creating a strong nostalgia for a simpler time brushing lightly on the war and died of complications economic pressures such as Monet. With such careful staging is not surprising a young Jiro falls in love with a young woman he saved during the traumatic history of earthquake ground a few years earlier (1923 Kanto earthquake). In direct juxtaposition to the frenetic and somewhat manic following the earthquake scenario, young Jiro finds himself on vacation in a rural setting to enjoy the green and gentle breeze with pretentious and puffy clouds bloom when he accidentally crosses paths with a beautiful girl he rescued from the earthquake as he paints poetic on a hill overlooking the spectacular rise countryside. The wind is a very thin film, entertaining movie. The film focuses almost exclusively on the protagonist, Jiro as an idealistic engineer whose sole purpose in life is to make a plan. Of course, he falls in love and rub elbows with the German aircraft manufacturer during World War II. However, the Second World War and social unrest after the Great Kanto earthquake that left almost intact. Significantly, Jiros attention at the end of the war the plane was not returned. Nevertheless, I highly recommend the movie for kids and adults with a propensity for Monet-esque visuals. |
